Round one: I like when sometimes my dad & I have these real nice conversations about worldly things or books we’re/we’ve reading/read or taxes or etc. They end up being longer than expected and sort of make me feel weirdly smarter as the outcome. Like some of his wisdom of being alive longer is rubbing off on me. Just, getting another point of view with no bullshit or having something explained to me that I knew about but couldnt make sense of. Yea, good stuff.
Round two: Some words are just odd sounding. Especially by themselves, if you say them 3 or more times in a row. They turn to mush and they’re illogical or sometimes unpleasant to the ear. Two examples
(pause. I looked at the clock, it’s 11:13, I missed it by 2 minutes)
Okay, two examples that crept up on me today. Actually, make it three…
1. Squad ~ S-K-WAD …. ssssqAAAWWWWD! skwad.squad.sckwaaaaaad! Wicked funny with the emphasis in different places
2. Quench ~ K-Wench, it’s the Q + U thing that really fucks with my mind. I honestly wonder why it isnt alright to just use a Kay and a Double You?
3. Crept ~ Putting a P and a T next to each other….try just saying the last part. Crehhhh….pt. Pt? Such a random noise for a word to make.
Take it or leave it.
